Information science professional with a decade of customer-service, administrative, and records-management experience — newly conferred MLIS from Simmons University, focused on archival science & information architecture.
Study & Research

Master of Library & Information Science
ALA-accredited program — Simmons holds one of the top archives concentrations in the country. The M.S. in Library Science permits a self-designed concentration, which I built around a single throughline: harmonizing traditional archival practice with modern technological workflows. Appraisal, description, and preservation alongside metadata, database design, information architecture, and the systems researchers actually use to find things. The goal was a working archivist who can move between paper and code without losing the values of either. Completed a 60-hour internship at the Washington State Archives. Recipient of a merit scholarship every year of the program. Active member of ALA and SAA.

Bachelor of Arts in American History, cum laude
Graduated cum laude with a focus on colonial–indigenous relations and early American borderland settlement & conflicts. Thesis — From Missions to Massacres — explored the administration of Colonial California under three successive powers and its effects on native populations. Coursework produced roughly two dozen research papers across the major periods; a small selection appears below. Consistent President's List & Honor Roll. Member of the Organization of American Historians.

Active member, & in good standing.
Why archives.
My dedication to preserving knowledge and increasing access to information stems from personal experience with educational barriers and a deep belief that understanding our history is crucial for building a more equitable future. Growing up with limited resources, I discovered that books and historical records were powerful tools — for understanding not just my own place in the world, but humanity's collective story.
Through my work in genealogy and historical research I've seen how preserved records give voice to those historically silenced or overlooked. Protecting and providing access to these materials isn't only about maintaining documents — it's about ensuring future generations can understand their history, learn from our past, and make informed decisions about our shared future.
This perspective guides my approach to both work and study: every effort to preserve, organize, and share information is an act of service that supports justice, equity, and the democratization of knowledge.
Outside work.
Genealogy
Combining genetic analysis with traditional historical research — piecing together family connections as a kind of long-form detective work.
Bookbinding

Political advocacy
Translating the study of historical injustice into policy work — pushing for systemic change that addresses inequity.
Tabletop games
Strategic play as a way to sharpen problem-solving and keep the people I love close during the PNW rainy season.
Let's talk.
I'm actively seeking roles in archives, records management, and information architecture. Happy to chat.
